Look carefully. One of these posts is not like the others:

Post stats

Yes, it's official. Last week's Ed!son Chen post is now the most viewed post ever on this blog, knocking the May, 2005 S@yaa Ir!e post out of the number one spot. 13,500* 18,500 and still going strong. These are totally hollow numbers. Of the total, about 1000 are the regular readership, another 1000 are referrals from various blogs (thanks to everyone who linked), and 11,500 16,500 are people searching Google for the photographs who probably left in disappointment the moment they realized I didn't actually post any pix. Yes, that makes this a ringer, and it will be duly noted as such in next year's annual retrospective. The most views a non-ringer post has ever had is about 4,000.

I swear, I should do p*rn all the time. Then I might get some advertising. Although my mom might stop reading.

*I drafted this post yesterday evening but didn't publish it. In the 16 hours since then there have been another 5,000 views. It seems to be accelerating, perhaps with a bump due to Ed!son Chen's "retirement" (CNN video link) from show biz yesterday.

Note: The post with zero views in the screen cap is not yet published. Please save comments about Spielberg/Darfur/American hypocrisy/etc. until then.
