I wouldn't respect any list that would have me as a member
Imagethief just discovered, thanks to Kaiser, that he was named the number one industry blog in Asia last month by Hong Kong PR and advertising trade Media. They didn't send the team strip-o-gram that I would have appreciated by way of notification (as other magazines I enjoy might have), but it's always nice to be recognized. They write:
[William Moss] is a rarity in PR -- his sense of humor remains intact. Witness: "We PR people are widely unloved. There is some justification for this."
Odd. I didn't think I was being funny when I wrote that.
Being an ungrateful sort, I do have some quibbles. I think they've been generous ranking Imagethief above some of the other listed sites (Danwei? Kaiser's Digital Watch? The very incisive Rob Campbell?). People will think I've slept my way to the top. Plus, it would have been nice to have URLs listed in the article. I've had to Google the other honored sites to check them out. Finally, the screen grab is technically not from my blog, but my near-defunct website.
But warm fuzzies nevertheless. See the full list of winners on Kaiser's blog.
Note: Post title with the deepest of apologies to the ghost of Groucho Marx.
